Single parenting can be a very demanding situation, especially for teen moms.
Here are some of the ways we can help:
Sometimes you just need to talk with someone that understands and knows what you are facing. We are here for you.
Sonya’s Story:Sonya was faced with having an abortion because she felt it was the only way out of the situation. Her family threatened to kick her out of their home if she didn’t have an abortion. Sonya wanted to have her baby and be a single parent but when faced with homelessness for herself and her baby she didn’t think she had a choice. From the abortion clinic she called LifeLine and when we offered her emergency housing she jumped at the chance. She was able to stay at a home we provided for her until she had time to think and share her concerns with a client advocate and start to make plans as a single parent. During the time at our home her family changed their mind and asked Sonya to return home, with her baby.
Sometimes it takes a short break for everyone to realize what they are about to loose.
